BDD Construction

Six Phases

The DB Contractor, CH2M HILL/Western Summit Joint Constructors, divided the BDD Project into six basis phases, which sometimes overlap.

  1. Project Design – Completed in October 2008
  2. Construction of the Water Treatment Plant – Began in September 2008 and will last through 2010.
  3. Construction of the Diversion Structure and Raw Water Facilities – Began in March 2009 and will last through November 2010.
  4. Construction of Raw Water Pipelines – Began in September 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2009.
  5. Construction of Finished Water Pipelines – Began in September 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2009.
  6. Acceptance Testing of the Water Treatment Plant – This final step is scheduled to take place in January and February 2011.
